Housing 676-pin, 1-mm pitch 27 mm x 27 mm BGA packages while promising no significant performance issues, the CG-BGA-4002 socket operates at bandwidths up to 8 GHz with less than 1 dB of insertion loss. The component dissipates up to several Watts of power without extra heat sinking and can handle up to 100W with a custom heat sink. Contact resistance is typically 20 milliOhms per pin and the socket connects all pins with an 8-GHz bandwidth on all connections. Employing a low-inductance elastomer contactor, operating temperature range is -40?C to +100?C. Other specs include a pin self inductance of 0.11 nH, mutual inductance of 0.028 nH, capacitance to ground of 0.028 pF, and a current handling of 5A per pin. Single-unit price is $924.
