By addressing high-performance requirements for Speed Class Rating, Ironwood Electronics’ microSD socket guarantees a minimum rate at which data can be written to the card. The SBT-MicroSD-01, which is a stamped spring pin with 19-gram actuation force per pin, has a cycle life of 500,000 insertions. Features include 0.93-nH self-inductance, less than 1 dB insertion loss, at 21.9 GHz, and less than 16-mΩ contact resistance. Every contactor maintains 4-A current capacity at 30°C temperature rise. Socket operating temperature ranges from -55 to +180°C. The package measures 15 by 11 by 1.0 mm. Applications include hand test and temperature characterization, as well as debugging that requires sustained write throughput. Pricing for the SBT-MicroSD-01is $437 for unit quantities.
