Reporting fast switching speeds, high isolation, and a low insertion loss, the Model SS153DHS SP5T reflective PIN-diode switch operates at frequencies from dc to 18 GHz. Switching speed is 20 ns and insertion loss ranges from 2.6 dB from 2 GHz to 12 GHz and 3.6 dB from 12 GHz to 18 GHz. Other specs include a maximum VSWR of 2:1, an isolation up to 65 dB, up to 200 mW of RF power, and the ability to accept RF power inputs of 1W CW and 20W peak (1-µs pulse width, 5% duty cycle). Other features include operation from +5 Vdc source at 110 mA and -12 Vdc at 70 mA, an operating temperature range from -54°C to +95°C, and a package measuring 2.54” x 1.2” x 0.3” without connectors.
