surface mount rPGA sockets ensure proper alignment of the processor to the socket and contacts are arranged on a symmetrical grid of 1 mm x 1 mm spacing
Supporting Intel Core i7 989/988 mobile processors and validated to Intel design guides, the company’s surface mount rPGA sockets ensure proper alignment of the processor to the socket and contacts are arranged on a symmetrical grid of 1 mm x 1 mm spacing. The sockets include a screw-activated cam and solder balls for direct PCB attachment. Placement of the processor into the socket and turning the screw secures the processor in its mated position and, for automated pick-and-place, removable caps are supplied.
