The company’s high density SGM, SGMC, and SMPL series rectangular connectors now feature PosiBand contact technology.

The company’s high density SGM, SGMC, and SMPL series rectangular connectors now feature PosiBand contact technology. As a result, their design is more robust than legacy split tine female contacts. PosiBand is a closed entry female contact system that provides a contact resistance of 0.004? while offering higher current ratings, e.g., 12A with two contacts energized and 5A with 104 contacts energized. Additionally, the connectors comply with MIL-C-28748 and MIL-DTL-28748 and carry SAE AS39029 qualification. Termination options include removable crimp and solder cup, as well as straight, right angle, and press-fit PCB terminations. POSITRONIC INDUSTRIES, Springfield, MI. (800) 641-4054.
