Trimmed for use in LED connections, the PTPM and PTSM mini plug connectors reduce connection time and allow for true surface-mount processing. They measure 5-mm high and carry a 5A current rating. The PTPM uses insulation-piercing connection technology to eliminate wire preparation and allow connection without tools. Users insert the conductor into the housing and press the housing down with their thumbs. The PTSM is now available in a pluggable version that uses push-in spring technology that allows quick connection of both rigid and flexible conductors up to 20 AWG.
