Answering the call for ever-smaller connectors with increased contact density, LEMO extended its M series of plugs and cable-mount sockets with the ultra-compact MM connectors. The MM connectors come with three or four contacts, and feature the company’s ratchet-coupling shells. The lightweight MMs, some of the smallest IP68 connectors offered by LEMO, will specifically find homes in the automotive, racing, and aerospace markets. They’re suitable for cable diameters ranging from 2 to 27 mm, and contact configurations from 2 to 114 contacts. Application areas also include COTS military, security, aerospace, and other harsh environments that require robust performance in a lightweight, compact, size.
