    Acquisition Boosts Firm's Magnetics Expertise

    Actuant has completed the acquisition of Actown Electrocoil, a company that offers expertise in highly engineered magnetic transformer, customer coil, and inductor solutions.

    Actuant has completed the acquisition of Actown Electrocoil. Actown offers expertise in highly engineered magnetic transformer, customer coil, and inductor solutions. Actown will be part of the Professional Electrical group within Actuant’s Tools and Supplies segment, which additionally is comprised of Acme Electric, and Amveco Magnetics.

    By combining Amveco’s leadership position in toroidal power transformers and partnering with Acme’s market strength in industrial control transformers, power conditioning products, and dry type distribution transformers, the group will be well positioned as one of the largest suppliers meeting the needs of the power magnetics industry.

    Steve Duffy, OEM Business Leader, Professional Electrical business stated, “The addition of Actown to the Professional Electrical group serves to provide customers a complete range of solutions for power transformers, custom coils, and inductor products as well as the global manufacturing capabilities to service our customers' operations on a worldwide level.”
