Vishay Intertechnology’s WSLT2512 1-W surface-mount Power Metal Strip current sensing resistor in the 2512 case size operates in a temperature range of 65°C to 275°C. The resistor features a 10-mΩ to 500-mΩ resistance value range, a tight tolerance down to ±0.5 %, and low TCR values down to ±75 ppm/°C.

The temperature range of the WSLT2512 allows it to replace larger current sensing resistors with a similar 275°C maximum operating temperature. Its robust specifications allow the resistor to be used for current sensing and pulse applications in harsh, high-temperature environments without sacrificing power rating or electrical performance.

The WSLT2512 features all-welded construction with a solid metal nickel-chrome alloy resistive element. The resistor offers low inductance values, an excellent frequency response to 50 MHz, and low thermal EMF of less than 3 V/°C.

Samples and production quantities of the resistor are available now. Pricing in 100,000-piece quantities starts at $0.29 per piece.
