Stackpole Electronics’ series of large tubular non-flammable wirewounds targets applications ranging from 10 W to 1300 W

Stackpole Electronics’ series of large tubular non-flammable wirewounds targets applications ranging from 10 W to 1300 W. Many types of large motors can use this resistor as a braking resistor, including electrical motors for elevators and escalators. They feature two separate types of mounting flanges that are separate from the electrical terminals for easier and more reliable connection to heavy equipment and motors. Total length for the resistors ranges from greater than 2 in. to greater than 28 in.

Resistance values from 0.1 Ù to 1.3 MÙ are available in 5% standard tolerances (smaller sizes have a greater tolerance). The series is available for the following power ratings: 10 W, 20 W, 30 W, 40 W, 50 W, 60 W, 80 W, 100 W, 120 W, 150 W, 200 W, 250 W, 300 W, 400 W, 500 W, 600 W, 700 W, 800 W, 900 W, 1000 W, and 1300 W. Due to their relatively large size, they are available in bulk packaging only. Pricing depends on size and volume, but ranges from $1.03 each for the 10-W part to $52.75 each for the 1300-W part.
