Stackpole Electronics, Inc. announces the production release of the HVC3512 size chip with a working voltage rating of 3500 Vrms. The HVC Series offers the highest working voltages per chip size in the resistor industry due to the fine-film patterning, which allows longer resistance elements and less voltage stress per square. The HVC also offers high-resistance values of up to 50 gigohms, tolerances as low as 0.5%, and TCR's as low as 25 ppm. The HVC Series is available in sizes including 0603, 0805, 1206, 2010, 2512, and now 3512. It has low VCR down to 1ppm per volt for minimal noise and high stability. With proper terminal isolation the larger size high resistance chips can withstand voltages of 25KV. It is available in wire bondable terminations and as a single-sided flip chip.

Pricing for the HVC Series varies with size, resistance value, tolerance, and TCR and ranges from $0.90 to $4.50 each in full reel quantities. Contact Stackpole for volume pricing.
