Stackpole now offers the RNS Series axial leaded ultra mini metal film resistors with a ½ watt (0.5 W) power rating in a traditional 1/8 watt (0.125W) axial leaded resistor package size. This complements the 1 W and 2 W parts previously available. The RNS is able to achieve this high power handling performance through tight manufacturing control of a unique power film alloy. The standard flameproof silicone coating enhances its usefulness at high power levels. In addition, the RNS series is capable of precision tolerances down to 0.5% and TCR's as low as 25 ppm.
