Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. introduced a series of through-hole single-in-line thin film resistors. For high accuracy in precision, high-voltage instrumentation and amplifiers, the Vishay Dale Thin Film HVPS devices feature high resistance values to 10 Mohm, tight tolerances down to ± 0.01 %, and high working voltages to 1800 V.

The resistors released today combine their high working voltage with stable film characteristics of ± 0.05 % for 2,000 hours at +70 °C, ultra-low TCR of ± 5 ppm/°C, and a wide resistance range of 50 kΩ to 10 MΩ. Offering a conformal coating, the devices are optimized for high-voltage telecommunication, industrial, and test and measurement applications.

HVPS devices feature very low noise of < -30 dB, low thermal EMF of < 0.1 µV/°C, high power ratings up to 400 mW, and a temperature range of -55 °C to +125 °C. Available with lead-bearing and lead (Pb)-free options, the resistors are halogen-free and flame-resistant in accordance to UL 94 V-0.

Samples and production quantities of the HVPS resistors are available now, with lead times of eight weeks. Pricing for U.S. delivery starts at $2.00 per piece and varies by resistance, tolerance, and TCR.
