Stackpole Electronics Inc. has released its HCC8420 high current chassis mount shunt resistors. The HCC8420 is rated at 15W and has a resistance value of 0.1 milliohm and can handle currents up to 350 amps. The TCR for this part is an impressive 100 ppm per degree C.
Custom configurations to the value and sensing tabs may be available. The HCC's high current performance is suited for frequency converters, power modules, and battery management for hybrid power sources.
