METAL OXIDE RESISTORS- Thanks to a new termination process, K and M Electronics Inc., W. Springfield, MA, is now able to provide SMT, high-voltage, thick-film metal oxide resistors with tolerances to ±0.5%. The company's anti-leaching end termination allows OEMs to replace leaded components with SMT devices, yielding significant reductions in the size of end products. The termination development is said to strengthen the company's commitment to achieve improved component parameters, including value tolerances and temperature and voltage coefficients for high-voltage, thick-film metal oxide resistors.
