MLCCs Raze Acoustic Noise By 30 dB

Oct. 8, 2008
The GJ8 series multilayer ceramic chip capacitors (MLCCs) claim to lower acoustic noise in consumer and industrial electronic applications by as much as 30 dB in the 1 µF model. Acoustic noise generated by 4.7 µF to 10 µF GJ8 series

The GJ8 series multilayer ceramic chip capacitors (MLCCs) claim to lower acoustic noise in consumer and industrial electronic applications by as much as 30 dB in the 1 µF model. Acoustic noise generated by 4.7 µF to 10 µF GJ8 series capacitors represents an improvement of at least 10 dB over comparable MLCCs. In addition to noise-suppressing capabilities, the capacitors are available in low-profile models with thicknesses of 1.25 mm, 1.6 mm, and 2.5 mm depending on capacitance. Voltage ratings range up to 50V. Sample prices for GJ8 series capacitors are available upon request and lead time is approximately eight to 10 weeks.
