Capable of operating at ripple currents of up to 100V, Type GW capacitors have internal windings that are said to ensure efficient removal of generated heat for applications such as switched-mode and UPS power supplies, frequency converters, and welding equipment. Thermal resistance is below 2°C per watt. Capacitance range is 1000 to 10,000 µF with voltages from 40V to 500V. Construction features of the caps include aluminum cans with mounting clamps that ensure uniform pressure between capacitor and heat sinks, M-6 screw terminals and welded contacts. The capacitors come in 90 x 69 mm or 100 x 98 mm sizes.
