Targeting a wide range of applications from telecommunications to handheld devices, a micro series of surface-mount power inductors measures just 1.8 mm in height and are capable of saturation currents from 0.31 to 2.1A. In addition to their low profile, these inductors feature a toroidal construction with a closed magnetic field, said to ensure low electromagnetic interference (EMI). They are available in inductance values from 0.7 µH to 32 µH and operate over frequency ranges from 1 kHz to 2 MHz.Other features include dc-resistance values from 0.103 m½ to 0.833 m½ and an operating temperature range from -20ûC to 85ûC. Eight part numbers are available: PA0040.102T, PA0040.22T, PA0040.472T, PA0040.103T, PA0040.153T, PA0040.223T, PA0040.333T, and PA0040.473T. The inductors are available in tape-and-reel packaging with 3,900 units per reel. Price is $0.40 each/100,000 and $0.50 each/10,000. PULSE, San Diego, CA. (858) 674-8100.
