One-Time-Programmable Device Joins DPP Family

Expanding the company's family of over 35 digitally programmable potentiometers (DPPs), the CAT5126 32-tap digital potentiometer provides an alternative to mechanical potentiometers in applications where one-time calibration is required. The device offers one-time wiper programmability via a 2-wire serial interface, which allows users to set the wiper value after power-on and also disable the interface to prevent further adjustments. If the interface is not disabled, the system will power-on to the programmed wiper position, and users can change the position as necessary—the modified value will not be stored.
