In miniature surface mount packages ranging in sizes from 3 mm to 7.8 mm, the HM42 Series gate-drive transformers provide 1.5 kVdc of isolation between gate and drive and 1.5 kVrms insulation between primary and secondary windings. The transformers are operational up to 1 MHz, making them viable for power circuits in switchmode power supplies and any power circuit where a power MOSFET is required. Features include an operating frequency range from 50 kHz to 1 MHz, DCRs from 0.6 Ohm to 2 Ohms for the primary and 0.3 Ohm to 2 Ohms for the secondary, turns ratios, depending on configuration, of 1:1, 1:1:1, and 2:1:1, and minimum primary inductances from 1,200 µH to 300 µH. Operating temperature ranges from -40° to +125°C. Typical pricing for the HM42 Series ranges from $0.64 to $0.82 each/10,000. BI TECHNOLOGIES, Fullerton, CA. (714) 447-2759.
