Offering a minimum of 1,500 VRMS of isolation and 350 mA capability, the H1180, H1183 and H1197 are IEEE 802af-compliatnt Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) 10/100BASE-TX transformer modules specifically designed for mid-span PoE applications. The magnetic modules can be used to upgrade an existing Ethernet connection to a PoE-compliant solution, allowing remote devices to receive power and data over the same unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cable. And their high input impedance makes the transformers appear transparent to the existing Ethernet system. The components can deliver 15W of power to remote devices located 100 m away. The new PoE magnetics series has a starting price of $1.60 each/10,000. For more details, contact Eric Tan at PULSE, a Technitrol company, San Diego, CA. (858) 674-8301.
