Available in chip sizes of 0402 and 0603, these new high-reliability, multilayer NTC chip thermistors are 63 mW devices with values from 47 ohms to 150 kiloohms. With a high B constant of 2,950 to 4,750 at 25/85°C, dependent upon value, the thermistors are highly sensitive devices.
The chips are based on a multilayer construction giving a combination of a broad operating temperature range of -55°C to +125°C, a thermal time constant of less than five seconds, and a heat dissipation constant of 1 to 2.5 mW/°C.
The devices are well suited for telecommunications equipment, consumer electronics and battery protection.
