To minimize electrical noise levels, the 4900 series surface-mount inductors integrate an EMI shield as a standard feature. The inductors employ a dual winding in a bobbin format with a 1:1 winding ratio and can be connected in series or parallel to create a myriad of inductance values, ranging from 2.2 to 880 µH for operation at 10 kHz and 100 mVac. Maximum continuous current is 9.5A and dc resistance values range from 0.0075 ohms to 0.805 ohms. The SMT inductors measure 12 x 12 x 8 mm and operate over a -40°C to 85°C temperature range. Pricing starts at $0.54 each in OEM quantities. C&D TECHNOLOGIES INC., Tucson, AZ. (800) 547-2537.
