With their low impedance characteristics said to make them ideal for low-profile dc-to-dc converters, the new FA and FF OS-CON series of solid electrolyte capacitors with organic semiconductor both span a voltage range of 4 to 25 vdc, an operating temperature range of -55°C to 105°C, and a rated life of 2000 hours at 105°C. The solid electrolyte capacitors also are well-suited for use in filter circuits of switching power supplies and for noise limiters.Capacitance range for FA series capacitors is 4.7 to 2200 µF and for FF series devices, 4.7 to 220 µF. Nominal case sizes (D x L) range from 6.3 x 6.8 mm to 16 x 25 mm for FA caps and 6.3 x 5 mm to 10 x 5 mm for FF units. The capacitors are designed to withstand HCFC cleaning agents for five minutes by ultrasonic, vapor, or immersion processes.
