Corpus Christi, TX-Designers of high-reliability military and aerospace systems now have an option for designs requiring the highest level of thin film chip resistor reliability, as International Resistive Co., Inc. (IRC) has earned "S" level failure rate for its chips resistors. The "S" reliability level (0.001%) per 1000 hrs.) of MIL-PRF-55342 is now offered in firm's precision thin film chip resistors in characteristics E, H, and K in 0805 and 1206 sizes. All three characteristics and both sizes are qualified to failure rates M, P, R, and S. In addition to established reliability, thin film chip resistors qualified under MIL-PRF-55342, the firm maintains a full range of military and defense qualifications for its other products, including precision resistor networks, wirewound leaded resistors, wirewound precision resistors, and high reliability metal film resistors.
