Providing stable operation in a variety of electronic systems, from automotive ignitions and instrument gauges to power supplies and desktop PCs, is the goal of a new trio of surface-mount power metal film resistors. The chips, with both 5% and 1% tolerances, include 0.5W (WSF2012), 1W (WSF2515) and 2W (WSF4527) versions, offering a resistance range from 5 ohms to 10 kiloohms. A wrap-around design is suited for automotive under-the-hood applications.
