Claiming non-inductive performance, the MP2060 TO-220-style, clip-mount power-film resistor features large leads for power and current carrying capabilities up to 60W and 60A , respectively, at 25°C case temperature. The component is available in resistance values as low as 0.005 ohm ±5%, 0.01 ohm ±2%, and from 0.02 ohm ±1%.
Typical applications for the film resistor include high-frequency power switching circuits, including snubbers and RF terminations. The device features a ceramic mounting surface, providing for a high thermal conductivity connection to the heat sink and the resistor element is isolated from the mounting surface.
