A new style of aluminum electrolytic capacitor has been designed for automotive applications. The large-size series B41605 and B41607 are lauded by the company for high vibrational strength and maximum ripple current capability at high temperature and frequencies. Their vibrational strength is the result of a corrugated design that has passed all vibration tests up to 30g and 2 kHz, even after prolonged thermal stress over 2,000 hours at 125°C. Designs with vibration strength up to 40g can be requested. The capacitors are designed for maximum operating voltages from 25V to 63V. They cover a capacitance range from 1,100 µF to 6,800 µF and are specified for a maximum continuous operating temperature of 150°C. Ripple current capability is 13A at 10 kHz and 105°C. At this temperature, the components attain a service life of 20,000 hours. Additional snap-in terminals and terminal wires are suitable for welding and soldering. Pricing starts at $2.95 each.
