Tailored for high-power, space-constrained applications, the LRF3W series 3W, surface-mount chip resistors come in sizes traditionally carrying a 1W rating. In 1225-size packages, the resistors provide terminations on their long end, creating a low inductance component with less stress on the solder joints. Resistance values range from 0.002 to 0.1O with absolute tolerances of ±1%, ±2%, ±5%, and ±10%. Power dissipation is up to 3W at 70°C with TCRs as low as ±100 ppm/°C. Operating temperature ranges from -55°C to +150°C. Other features include leach-resistant wrap-around terminations with either tin/lead or lead-free matte tin over nickel plating. Price is $0.20 each/1,800-piece. IRC INC., Corpus Christi, TX. (361) 992-7900.
