Compared to equal-size components, the CKP2520 power inductors in EIA 1008 cases measuring 2.5 mm x 2 mm with a maximum height of 1 mm offer up to 44% higher current handling and 35% lower dc resistance. Inductance values and current ratings range from 1 µH to 4.7 µH and 1.4A to 1.1A, respectively, and dc-resistance ranges from 80 to 90 milliOhms. Additions to the CKP2520 series, currently under development, will increase performance in the 1008 and smaller case sizes. Sample price is $0.20 each. TAIYO YUDEN INC., Schaumburg, IL.
