Addressing increasing demand, the company has significantly reduced lead times for its HVC series high-voltage chip resistors to six to eight weeks. The components employ a proprietary method for depositing thick-film resistance material on the ceramic substrate, a process that allegedly yields a resistance element that is more stable, less noisy, and capable of much higher voltages and resistance values. The resistors offer voltage ratings up to 3.5kV, resistance values as high as 2 GigaOhms, VCRs down to 1 ppm/V, TCRs down to 25 ppm, and tolerances as tight as 0.1%. Depending on size, tolerance, TCR, and resistance value, prices range from $0.50 to $4 each in volume. STACKPOLE ELECTRONICS INC., Raleigh, NC. (888) 734-7347.
