Additional members of B5910XJ family of PTC inrush current limiters for power supplies retain comparable electrical properties to their predecessors, however they get a boost in heat capacity from 2 J/K to 2.3 J/K. This translates into the need for fewer parallel-connecting PTC resistors to charge large link-circuit capacitors. Their package design is also adds certain improvements. The latest PTCs specify voltages of 260V, 440V, and 560V with resistances of 22, 56, and 100 Ohms. Pricing ranges from $0.635 to $0.745 each depending. EPCOS INC., Iselin, NJ. (800) 888-7728.
