The Sfernice P16S potentiometer includes a variable resistor and switch incorporated into a built-in knob. Featuring a compact, fully sealed, and panel-sealed construction, Vishay Intertechnology’s P16S basically consists of a knob driving that includes a cermet or conductive plastic potentiometer. Only the mounting hardware and terminals are situated on the back side of the panel. As a result, it minimizes the required clearance, suiting the device for small, low-profile, low-weight equipment within the military, professional audio, and industrial arenas (e.g., portables, communication headsets, night-vision goggles, and cockpit panels). The P16S offers a power rating to 1 W at 40°C, and a TCR of ±150 ppm/°C typical. Dielectric strength is 2.5 kV rms. Operating temperature ranges from -40 to +125°C. The metal P16S NM and plastic P16S NP come in a 7-mm bushing length (15 mm inside equipment) with a 16-mm knob diameter.
