The sulfur-resistant RNCP Series thin-film chip resistors reportedly offer twice the normal power rating compared to standard thick film technology. The elimination of silver and gold make the components impervious to sulfur contamination and reduces costs to be within 10% of standard general-purpose thick film chips. Groomed for automotive electronics, i.e., engine control units, gearbox controls, body electronics, safety systems, power supplies, and braking systems, the resistors specify absolute tolerances to 1% and a TCR of 100 ppm/°C. They are available in 0402, 0603, 0805, and 1206 chip sizes with power ratings from 0.1W to 0.5W and maximum working voltages from 50V to 200V.
