The company’s first liquid lens, the A316S, provides optical image stabilization functionality in mobile phones. Relying on no moving parts, the lens consumes less than 50 mW during a picture shot. Its lens actuator features both optical image stabilization (OIS) and silent/smooth AF and is able to fit into typical AF camera module sizes.
According to the company, liquid lenses with OIS will enable mobile users to take good pictures even in low light conditions as well as capturing stable and focused videos with their mobile phone. For more details, call Varioptic SA, Lyon, France. +33 (0) 4 37 65 35 31.
