High-Voltage Chip Resistors Handle ESD Up To 40 kV

Aug. 12, 2010
The HVC series thick-film, high-voltage chip resistors in sizes of 1206 and larger specify voltage ratings above 15 kV and the 3512 size withstands ESD transients up to 40 kV.

The HVC series thick-film, high-voltage chip resistors in sizes of 1206 and larger specify voltage ratings above 15 kV and the 3512 size withstands ESD transients up to 40 kV. A unique technique of direct deposition onto the substrate allows for the highest resistance values and voltage ratings with little laser trim calibration. Specs include tolerances to 0.5%, TCRs to 25 ppm, and resistance values from 10 k? to 50 G?. Prices range from $0.50 to $4 each. STACKPOLE ELECTRONICS INC., Raleigh, NC. (888) 734-7347.
