Multi Turn Pot Offers Slip Clutch Option

Nov. 22, 2010
A slip-clutch option is now available for Models 3547, 3548, and 3549 multi-turn potentiometers.

A slip-clutch option is now available for Models 3547, 3548, and 3549 multi-turn potentiometers.  The slip clutch is a safety feature that helps prevent damage to the potentiometer in applications where the full travel is used. An internal design feature, it does not alter the physical dimensions of the component and allows the device to idle at the extreme clockwise or counter-clockwise ends without inducing damage to the stops on the potentiometer. Samples and production quantities of all three models with the slip clutch option are available now. BOURNS INC., Riverside, CA. (951) 784-3100.
