Solid Tantalum Chip Caps Achieve Industry Firsts

April 18, 2011
The TH5 series surface-mount solid tantalum chip capacitors are reportedly the industry's first such devices to offer a capacitance value of 10 µF at 12V or 21V and 500 hours of continuous operation at +200°C without the need for voltage derating.

The TH5 series surface-mount solid tantalum chip capacitors are reportedly the industry's first such devices to offer a capacitance value of 10 µF at 12V or 21V and 500 hours of continuous operation at +200°C without the need for voltage derating. The capacitors come in molded packages in the 7.3 mm x4.3 mm E case size (EIA 7343-43) with a 4-mm profile. Operating temperature ranges from -55°C to +200°C with capacitance tolerances of ±10 % and ± 20%. Pricing begins at $15. VISHAY INTERTECHNOLOGY, INC., Malvern, PA. (619) 336-0860.
