A new iPhone/Android app has been released that can be used to calculate power loss and thermal conditions for power semiconductors at average and peak times.

Released by Powerex, the PowerSim app can be used for Powerex semiconductors in 2-level, 3-phase inverters and works based on operating conditions as inputted by the user.

Data is consistently updated via the company’s online database, but they duly note that the results only provide an estimated outcome and are not 100% accurate.

iPhone users can download PowerSim by visiting the Productivity Apps category of the Apple Store and Android users can search for PowerSim through Google Play.
