Orion Fans has expanded its offering of fan accessories to include the industry's lowest cost louvered fan guards. Designed for harsh environments, the heavy-duty louvered fan guards are available for use with the 80, 92, 120, 172, 225, 254 and 280mm fans or individually depending on the application. Orion's expanded offering also provides a complete line of fan guards, filters, kits, cords, power cords and Air Flow Monitor (AFM) modules.
Orion's broad fan accessory offering allows customers to mix-and-match in order to find the right solution for most any application. For example, Orion enables customers to combine products to create the market's lowest-cost Louvered Filter Fan Kit consisting of a fan guard, filter, fan, metal guard, and hardware. The Louvered Filter Fan Kit provides protection against dust, dirt and moisture from entering industrial, electrical and electronic cabinets. Depending on the fan used, a Louvered Filter Fan Kit can be rated to IP54, IP55 or IP56, and meets NEMA 12. Available with and without a finger guard, the Louvered Filter Fan Kits are available from stock with 120mm, 172mm, 225mm, 254mm and 280mm AC fans. Kits requiring DC fans are also available upon request.
Traditional filter kits are available for fans ranging in size from 40 to 172mm. Each filter kit contains an ABS UL94V-0 thermoplastic fan guard, as well as retainer and media in 30ppi or 45ppi. In addition, plastic fan guards that feature PBT, UL94V-0 thermoplastic are available for fans in sizes ranging from 40 to 172mm.
Orion's wire fan guards are available for fan sizes ranging from 25mm to 280mm and their wire mesh fan guards are available from 60 to 172mm. Both guards feature steel wire electroplated in nickel chrome with welded joints to withstand 220 pounds of separation force, and meet UL/cUL standards (some sizes are available in black). Simplifying assembly time and cost, push-on guards require no additional hardware. These cost-effective push-on guards are available for 60, 80, 92, 120 and 172mm fans.
Providing an economical solution for indicating fan or blower airflow, the AFM module operates an optical LED or audible alarm when airflow falls below 8.2 ft/s due to fan filter clogs or foreign materials coming in contact with the fan blade. Field retrofittable for AC or DC fan/blower applications, this airflow sensor protects components like power supplies, PoE midspans and displays in sensitive equipment including servers, telecom switches, medical equipment and kiosks.
