200-mW Solid-State Laser Debuts

By tapping its proprietary optically-pumped semiconductor laser (OPSL) technology, the company has developed what is said to be the world's first solid-state, 200-mW, 488-nm lasers. The Sapphire 488-200 family of solid-state lasers has been specifically designed for integration into analytical instrumentation, such as flow cytometers and fluorescent imagers for drug discovery, as well as for semiconductor metrology tools.
