A PersonalJava technology-enabled solution using ChorusOS software is the subject of a development platform that supports diverse applications in the telecommunication, data communication and consumer markets. With the Pallas development platform, the firm will begin supporting PersonalJava/ChorusOS-based applications with its 32-bit TMPR3922 microprocessor running at 129 MHz. A dedicated, just-in-time compiler is available that accelerates Java byte code execution. ChorusOS is a highly scalable, embeddet RTOS that offers support for multiple operating-system personalities and API classes and implements high-availability features such as a hot-restart mechanism, error confinement and in-service reconfiguration.
