Jitter Attenuators Clean Up Synchronous Ethernet

Oct. 8, 2008
Chiseled for 1G/10G/100G synchronous Ethernet applications, the VFJA402 and VFJA430 jitter attenuators come in RoHS-compliant, surface-mount packages measuring 19.5 mm x 15.5 mm. The VFJA402 provides two LVPECL outputs operating from 10 MHz to 200 MHz

Chiseled for 1G/10G/100G synchronous Ethernet applications, the VFJA402 and VFJA430 jitter attenuators come in RoHS-compliant, surface-mount packages measuring 19.5 mm x 15.5 mm. The VFJA402 provides two LVPECL outputs operating from 10 MHz to 200 MHz while the VFJA430 has two LVCMOS outputs, also spanning 10 MHz to 200 MHz. Both attenuators provide two select inputs that allow selection of one of three preset input frequencies from 8 kHz to 200 MHz or a free run mode and specify an output jitter of 0.2 ps rms from 12 kHz to 20 MHz. Additionally, they operate from a 3.3 Vdc supply and consume 150 mW. VALPEY FISHER CORP., Hopkinton, MA. (800) 982-5737.
