The company's C compiler, an embedded-centric compiler, now supports Motorola's ColdFire 5206e processor. The processor features a variable length instruction set architecture and a Version 2 ColdFire core with several peripheral functions, such as a DRAM controller, timers, parallel and serial interfaces, as well as system integration. The C compiler generates ROM-capable code and supports applications that use both 16- and 32-bit integer sizes. The tool suite also includes an assembler and library and provides link support within the workbench integrated development environment (IDE). Available for Solaris 2.x, HP-UX and Windows 95/98/NT host systems, pricing for the compiler and tool suite starts at $2,200 per seat.
