The AD9430 12-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) can encode at 210 Msamples/s. This monolithic sampling ADC includes an on-chip track-and-hold circuit. At 210 Msamples/s and up to 65 MHz, it has a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 64 dB and a spurious-free dynamic range of 80 dBc. Integral nonlinearity (INL) typically measures ±1.5 LSB, and differential nonlinearity (DNL) rates ±1 LSB. Typical power dissipation is 1.3 W at 210 Msamples/s. Users can select between CMOS- or low-voltage differential signal (LVDS) compatible outputs. Two versions of the AD9430 are available, each shipped in a 100-pin TQFP package with an exposed heatsink paddle. The 170-Msample/s AD9430BSV-170 costs $0.75 each in 1000-unit quantities. The 210-Msample/s AD9430BSV-210 costs $0.91 in similar quantities.
