Providing scalable computing power and control of LXI/GPIB/USB/serial instruments, plus operability in 6g vibration, the primary function of the PXI-3920 (Pentium M 760) and PXI-3910 (Celeron M 760) 3U PXI controllers is to be the core of a hybrid testing system, one capable of controlling bench-top instruments through different interfaces. They are reportedly the first to incorporate dual Gigabit Ethernet ports, allowing the use of one port for LAN connectivity while the other provides determinative bandwidth and latency for connection with LXI instruments. The controllers also include a GPIB port, four USB 2.0 ports, and two serial ports. ADLINK TECHNOLOGY AMERICA INC., Irvine, CA (866) 423-5465.
