Described as a high-speed, low-cost personal measurement device (PMD), the USB–based PMD-1208FS provides sample rates up to 50 ksamples/s. The unit measures 3.25" x 3.2" x 1" and includes eight single-ended or four differential analog inputs, each with a12-bit resolution. It is fully compatible with USB 1.1 and 2.0 with software support by way of Windows 98SE/ME/2000/XP. Other features include eight software-selectable input ranges, two 12-bit analog output channels, one 32-bit counter, and 16 bits of digital I/O. The device relies on a 0.225" hole that accommodates mounting in a wide range of standard to unconventional installations. Velcro and magnetic mounting options are also available.
