CES 2011 – High praise indeed, TranSwitch unveils HDP technology that it calls the industry’s most advanced High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) and DisplayPort integrated solution. The company’s latest IP core combines both HDMI 1.4 and DisplayPort in one single physical layer enabling HDTV and 3D-TV OEMs to support either standard with one connector. The HD-PXL 1.4 IP core delivers bandwidth over 10 Gb/s and meets all HDMI 1.4 requirements including 1080p at 60Hz. Additionally, the IP core supports Ethernet over HDMI and includes the audio return channel, eliminating need for separate audio cables between systems. TranSwitch Corp., Shelton, CT.
