For space-constrained, low-power applications, the Half-Inch Modem measures 1" x 1" x 0.3" and consumes 65 mA operating and 18 mA in sleep mode. The device integrates a data pump, modem controller, plus an international DAA and operates in temperatures from -40°C to +85°C. Other features include line-in-use detection, digital line guard protection, quick dialing and quick connect, downstream data rates from 2.4 kb/s to 56 kb/s , upstream data rates up to 48 kb/s, 14 kb/s faxing, voice playback and recording, and DTMF, distinctive ring, and caller ID detection.
