A free design kit is available to help engineers in their efforts to bring their new or existing products into EMC compliance. The kit contains 24 EMI suppression modules that designers can use to develop cost-effective EMI filters.Displayed on the inside of the kit's lid is an information chart that indicates the makeup of each module. Modules have fast-on connectors, making it easy to rapidly interchange them to assess the effect of various filter networks. Some modules are capacitive only, some inductive only, and some incorporate both capacitance and inductance. Also included in the kit is an EMI Design Guide, which explains some of the principles of EMC compliance and offers simple guidelines for reducing EMI. The kit is free to qualified labs and designers.
